Payment Terms

  • Once your transport has been arranged, an email will be sent to you confirming all details. Payment can be made as follows:

  1. Direct bank transfer in advance of vehicle collection or delivery.
  2. Cash payment upon vehicle collection or delivery.

  • Payment of invoices must be completed within 7 days of the invoice date.

Insurance & Vehicle Damage

  • DarkBlue Transport provide comprehensive road risk and freight insurance for your vehicle whilst in our care.  Details of our insurance policies are available upon request.  
  • DarkBlue Transport will not be liable for any costs beyond the value of our insurance cover - if the value of your vehicle exceeds the standard cover provided by DarkBlue Transport, please ask us to quote for supplemental cover or consider your own insurance protection.
  • Prior to loading, DarkBlue Transport will take photos and verify the expected condition of your vehicle. Additionally, upon request, we can conduct detailed visible condition reports at time of collection or delivery.
  • If the customer's vehicle is damaged whilst under the customer’s control, any loss or damage will not be covered by DarkBlue Transport’s insurance.
  • DarkBlue Transport shall not be liable for loss of, or damage to, any vehicle prior to loading and after discharge from our transport vehicle, howsoever such loss or damage arises, except during handling of vehicles under our control.  
  • DarkBlue Transport will not be held responsible for any damage that cannot be attributed to negligence on behalf of DarkBlue Transport (e.g. Acts of God, weather damage, bird strike or droppings, stone chips, third party vandalism).

Vehicle Condition & Access

Vehicle Condition

  • Runner – vehicle is fully driveable. It does not need to be road legal, but should have rolling wheels, functioning steering and brakes, and able to drive under its own power. Please make sure the battery is charged, and the vehicle is fuelled ready to drive. 
  • Non-runner – vehicle is not fully driveable.  Although it may not be able to drive under its own power, the vehicle must still be rolling (i.e. we cannot transport a vehicle if it has no wheels, or cannot be safely winched onto our transport vehicle).
  • Modifications – please inform us in advance of any vehicle modifications that may affect transportation. Examples include lowered vehicle height or suspension, body kits, and oversize exhaust pipes. Any unexpected modifications, which prevent transportation, may lead to cancellation with payment due in full.

Vehicle Access

  • Please make sure the vehicle collection and delivery locations are accessible by our transport vehicle.  
  • Your vehicle must be easily and safely accessible in order to load onto our transport vehicle. Additional charges, or even cancellation with payment due in full, may be incurred if the vehicle is not accessible, or loading is deemed unsafe.  
  • DarkBlue Transport reserve the right to deliver your vehicle to an alternate location if the agreed destination is not accessible or safe.  

Change of Requirements & Additional Charges

Change of Requirements

  • Details of the agreed service will be confirmed via email, or other written form. In the event of changes to requirements, amended charges may be applied. Such changes include:

  1. Different collection or delivery address.
  2. Different vehicle make or model. 
  3. Different vehicle condition. 
  4. Different date or time.
  5. Additional vehicles, routes or diversions as requested by the customer.  

  • To avoid disappointment, please contact us as soon as any change of requirements is foreseen. 

Additional Charges

  • Unreasonable waiting times and delays may incur additional charges at an hourly rate. 
  • Please be sure that the vehicle condition is as described and is ready for collection.  
  • Please ensure your vehicle is ready to be received at its destination.  
  • If agreed in advance, storage of a customer’s vehicle may not be chargeable. However, if storage is later requested, then a daily rate will be applied.
  • DarkBlue Transport reserve the right to retain a customer’s vehicle in lieu of outstanding payment. Such retention may incur a daily storage charge, reloading fees, further transportation costs, or ultimate possession of the vehicle.


  • Once your booking has been confirmed you may cancel, without any charges, only if you provide notification no later than 5 days in advance of the agreed collection date.
  • Cancellations within 5 days of the agreed collection date may still be subject to full or partial payment.
  • Whilst every effort is made to keep to promised delivery schedules, DarkBlue Transport will not be held responsible for late or failed collections or deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control; such as road works, traffic incidents, breakdowns or adverse weather conditions etc.  
  • DarkBlue Transport reserve the right to cancel or delay any transport without penalty or liability.

Completion Confirmation

  • Upon signing the DarkBlue Transport Completion Confirmation, the customer accepts the condition of the vehicle and confirms their satisfaction of the service provided.

Legal Weight Limits

Legal Weight Limits

DarkBlue Transport operate according to the legal weight limits and vehicle transportation rules enforced by the DVSA and our insurance providers.

Therefore, we are unable to transport larger vehicles; such as large vans, large 4x4s, and large MPVs.  

If you are uncertain of your vehicle weight, please contact us and we will verify the specification before quoting.
